P5 Drive 600 Volt - YAI

600 V, 125-200 HP; NEMA 1 enclosure 2-200 HP

The P5 Drive 600 volt dedicated AC drive for fan and pump applications for installations with input power requirements of 600VAC. The drive was available in ratings to 200 HP at 600VAC. Units included n English/French-language keypad and display as well as a network communications port with optional interface cards for Johnson Controls Metasys N2, Lonworks, ModBus RS485, Siemens-APOGEE and DeviceNet.

The A1000 600V drive is the replacement for the P5 600V drive series. Please consult your local sales representative for further details. This product may be also labeled GPD605/P5.

The P5 Drive 600 Volt / G5 GPD515 Drive is a Legacy product and is no longer promoted in the Americas.

When using the analog output function on a GPD506/P5, how is the output scaled when output current is selected? Posted Date: 06/12/2014 Answer: The 0-10Vdc output is scaled to 0-100% of the drive rated current. Parameter n052 is used to setup the drive for output current monitoring and n053 sets the analog monitor gain value. For example, if the user wants 0V= 0% and 3V=100%, then use formula n053= Desired voltage @ 100% drive output rating/ 10V. For the above example, n053= 0.3 (See graph attached). When dealing with harmonic noise, which is better-- an AC or a DC reactor? They are both equally effective. They can also be used in combination. What will happen if there is only .5'' clearance from either top or bottom of the drive to an enclosure? Posted Date: 03/14/2006 Answer: There MUST be a minimum of 4.7'' clearance above and below the drive (varies by model) to allow airflow over the heat sink. Otherwise, an OH alarm (cooling fin overheat) may occur. Also, a minimum 1.2'' clearance (varies by model) is required on each side of the drive. The "sleep" function can only be used when PID is enabled. If an analog (0-10VDC or 4-20mA) signal for speed reference is used, is there any way to use "sleep" without enabling PID? Posted Date: 11/29/2005 Answer: Yes. The minimum frequency must be kept at 1.5 Hz, and the "Prohibit Frequency" parameters will need to be used. Set parameter n062 equal to the midway point between 1.0Hz and the desired sleep frequency. Set parameter n064 equal to the difference between the midway point and 1.0 Hz. Example: A sleep frequency of 20.0 Hz is desired. 20.0 - 1.0 = 19.0 Difference = 19.0/2 = 9.5 Midway point = 1.0 + 9.5 = 10.5 Hz Set n062 = 10.5 Hz Set n064 = 9.50 Hz -- When starting up, the output frequency will remain at 0.0 Hz until the reference signal reaches a minimum of 20.0 Hz. -- With a decreasing frequency reference, the output frequency will level off at 20.0 Hz as the reference descends below 20.0 Hz.
