Z1000 Bypass
125 - 500 HP HVAC-Specific AC Drive with 2 or 3 Contactor Bypass
The Z1000 Bypass Package is optimized with an Intelligent Bypass and advance BAS interface. The design sets a new benchmark for performance, benefits and quality. The Z1000 Bypass is BTL listed, view listing.
The Intelligent Bypass, when enabled, can transfer the motor across the line when the application requires 60Hz. Most HVAC systems require 60Hz at peak demand (Summer months – daytime), which will utilize the intelligent bypass function. Removing the drive at 60 Hz saves energy and removes harmonics at worse case conditions.

Option | Description |
---|---|
Reactor | Used on either the input or output of a drive to reduce the effect of line-side or load-side transients. These 3-phase reactors are available in a NEMA 1 enclosure for field installation, or in a factory-installed package. |
DC Bus Reactor | Used in place of an input reactor to improve power factor. Helps attenuate distortion back to the line and to reduce DC bus ripple current. Available only in a factory-installed package. |
RFI Filter | Used to attenuate possible drive-generated noise back to the line. Along with proper shielding, routing and grounded between the filter and the drive, it is designed to reduce line-conducted noise levels to within the limits of FCC regulations, part 15 subpart J, for Class A devices. Available only in a factory-installed package. |
RFI Noise Suppression Filter | Used to minimize RF noise generation back to the power line. This filter is a delta-wye capacitive filter network. |
Circuit Breaker | MCP motor circuit protector or Thermal Magnetic. |
Fast Acting Semiconductor Fuses | High-speed semi-conductor drive input fuses, rated for 200,000 amp RMS symmetrical. |
12-Pulse Configuration | The 12-pulse rectifier comes standard and consists of two 6-pulse diode bridges combined with a multi-phase transformer. |
18-Pulse Configuration | The 18-pulse rectifier consists of a multi-phase transformer and three 6-pulse diode bridges. |
SCCR 100kA Panel Rating | Yaskawa recommends semiconductor fusing to ensure to 100kAIC CSSR panel rating and is specified on the nameplate |
Two Motor OR... | Control allows local or remote motor operation. |
Multiple Motor and... | Control allows the operation of several motors from one drive. |
