iCube Mechatronic Concept with Yaskawa Amplifier Performance
Sigma-X expands the functionality of previous generations of the Sigma SERVOPACK. The SGDXS EtherCAT SERVOPACK integrates seamlessly with the iCube Control as part of Yaskawa’s iCube Mechatronic Concept. The amplifier offers the user a variety of useful data that can be used to visualize and analyze production. The Sigma-X SERVOPACK technology adds 3.5kHz bandwidth to improve speed and precision. Yaskawa’s advanced servo tuning algorithms include world-class vibration suppression, ripple and friction compensation, advanced autotuning, and tuning-less commissioning right out of the box. The SGDXS SERVOPACK supports Yaskawa’s full line of rotary, linear, and direct drive servo motors.

SGDXS EtherCAT - Options
Primary – 26-bit serial absolute encoder
- 26-bit serial absolute encoder standard on all Sigma-X rotary motors
- Fully compatible with 24-bit serial encoders present on Sigma-7 motors
Secondary – Fully Closed Loop Option Card
- Allows the user to close the position loop around a secondary feedback device placed near the load
- Helps eliminate the effects of mechanical compliance and thermal variances
- Allows for more precise control and improved machine performance
- Available with all single axis Sigma-X SERVOPACKs
Secondary – Feedback Option Card
- Allows for interface with a third party motor that utilize Hiperface, Endat, Sin/Cos, TTL, or resolver feedback devices
- Allows for full closed loop operation with Hiperface, Endat, Sin/Cos, TTL, or resolver feedback devices
