MotionWorks IEC Express and MotionWorks IEC Pro, Yaskawa's IEC61131-3 programming environments, encourage the programmer to take advantage of the best of several programming languages within one development package.
- Application Code Toolboxes
One of the key strengths of the IEC61131-3 programming environment is the ability to develop libraries of re-usable code. Yaskawa has leveraged this ability to create Application Code Toolboxes designed for use in many applications using MPiec Series Controllers and MotionWorks IEC software.

The MPiec OPC Server is an optional software which provides data exchange between Windows applications and MPiec controllers via the manufacturer-independent client/server interface OPC (OLE for Process Control).
