Choosing a Servo - Linear
A RANGE OF LINEAR MOTION OPTIONSYaskawa linear motors simplify mechanical design by eliminating chains, belts, and screws, while offering higher performance, greater accuracy, and minimal maintenance. The coreless design of the SGLG series provides the smoothest, cog-free movement. The compact iron core design of the SGLF2 and SGLF series is well suited to tight spaces, while the magnetic attraction force adds bearing preload and mechanical damping for improved settling times. The balanced magnetic structure of the SGLT series yields greater physical force than a single track iron core design while balancing the attractive force of the magnets. Maximum implementation ease is gained with Sigma Trac II, which is pre-assembled linear stage, complete with motor, feedback, and cable management to create a bolt-on, ready-to-use linear motion system.
