Question:How does the SGDG (Legend) ServoPack dynamic brake circuit operate when an SMC-3010 (LegendMC) is attached?
Answer:The default configuration with the SMC-3010 (LegendMC) attached is for the dynamic brake circuit to be open or not active. With the dynamic brake disabled, in an E-stop or motor off condition, the motor can move freely or coast to a stop.

This functionality is opposite of the standard operation for the SGDH (Sigma II) series ServoPack.

To activate the dynamic brake circuit, the programmer must include the command 'DB1' in the program. It is imperative that this command is included in the program, as the DB setting is not saved to flash memory. If 'DB1' is not included in the user program, the setting will return to the default setting of 'DB0' or disabled when the power is cycled.
